What's the right age to start toilet training? How does it work for boys? Do you teach them to stand to pee or sit down first?

Healthy children aren't physically and emotionally ready to start using a potty until they are between 18 months and three years old. My sister started training her boy when he was 2 years old. But there's no official age. I think girls do have an advantage of seeing someone the same way as they are, while boys fluster as to why dad pees standing up. It is an awkward situation, wherein the mother cannot actually demonstrate how to perform the action so that boy can follow suit. Most often, boys associate with ‘this is how mom does it’ theory and thus sit and pee. This also means less mess and you can avoid those missed target firing on you.
