What's the right age to start toilet training? How does it work for boys? Do you teach them to stand to pee or sit down first?

I believe, most children are ready for potty training by 18 months or 2 years- depending on their muscular control. You can identify this by observing your little one. You can try to keep these points in mind: - If you notice that he is trying to finish some task himself and wants an independent charge, then he may do the same in cane of using the bathroom. - He wants to pull down his pants on his own or is curious when others use the loo, he may be ready. - Another sign is consistent bowel movements that soft and firm. - You can also train your child if he is able to stand on his own feet. If he is not stable, then give him a bit more time. - Your child should also be in a position to understand instructions. My sister's daughter is almost 2.7 years and she was recently potty trained, only when she started taking an initiative to stand and pull down her skirt on her own. Take a look at this video. It demonstrates an easy way to potty train the child: http://www.theindusparent.com/must-watch-simple-tips-to-potty-train-a-toddler-in-a-week
