When to change bottle teat size

Hi! What are the signs and how to tell if it is time to change bottle teat size to the next level? I'm using Pigeon S size for my 4mo baby at the moment and she has been crying during feeding. Not sure if is due to the teat

4mo might be teething and also maybe what you mentioned, flow too slow. Depending on what you’re feeding, for bm, it’s ok to stay on smaller teats as it’s smooth. If formula, you can try to size up to see if it’s better for her.
