I don't think a 6 months baby requires actual exercise.... although I play a lot with my 6 month old son to get him to tire out. During tummy time, I'll place his favourite dinosaur toy just slightly out of reach of his hands and he'll do his best to get it. Sometimes we'll clear his mat and let him roll around happily until he gets tired and frustrated and wants to be carried. I also do stretch and massage him limbs after his baths. My late grandmother always says that it helps his legs to grow longer but I don't know how true it is. My son loves it though!

It depends on your baby's development. If you baby has not mastered sitting. A sitting exercise will be good to let him practise sitting. You can put you baby in sitting position supporting his hands. Try to let him balance by himself by letting go of his hand one at a time. If you baby has not mastered crawling, crawling exercise is also good. Encourage baby to crawl forward by placing his favourite toys in front of him. Yoga is also a very good exercise for baby.http://youtu.be/KIveWSplwLU

My 6 months old baby is very active so I let her do whatever she wants. She crawls, stands, climbs and stumbles. Haha. I also put her on the walker for a short while if I need some time to put the laundry in the washer. Other than that I do the cycling in the air exercise with her everyday on her back but that is more to stimulate her bowel movements. You can also try these exercises to train his balance.

At 6 months old, they are learning how to crawl, so the best exercises will include waving a toy she likes in front of her so she will try moving towards it. http://sg.theasianparent.com/child-development-daily-activities-6-12months/ Baby yoga is a good way for both mommy and baby to bond and exercise as well!
