What is all this hype about flash card memorisation and mental mathematical abilities? Does it really help? Does it affect the child's brain? Or is it all rubbish? I've heard my Aunty go on and on about this and how her grandson is insanely smart due to flash cards and at the same time I've heard that it's all nonsense. What' do you ladies think?

It definitely helps, but I think sending your child for classes and brain training is actually much more effective, frankly

I think it’s ok to try it out. I’m interested in this as well. Afterall no harm, only benefits if it turns out well.

I wouldn't rubbish them because I feel they do work to an extent, especially if your child is a visual learner.
