I got this on my boy when he was a baby and growing into a toddler. Really it looks like rashes and if your baby perspires a lot especially if he is unable to turn on his tummy yet and not able to sit or stand. That area needs "air to breathe". If it is so, keep him clean and change his clothes every now and then you deem fit. It's ok for caregiver to work a little more as you don't want this to prolong. I was a first time mummy to my little girl and she had very bad rashes on her back that made me panic. Brought her to the National Skin Centre and they gave steroid which i'm very skeptical about. Steroid thinned the skin and not good for long term. The best thing is that the specialist told me it's just rashes. Duh! I googled and do my own research, trial n error. Finally best is to keep baby up play with them make them sweat. Clean them up and make them sleep in breezy, cool environment. Hope your baby will get better soon. Important is to clean with water and not baby wipes please.
