What do I do if my toddler has infection in lymph nodes? Is this common?

Do you mean you observed some swellings in your child’s lymph nodes? Such swellings usually take place when a certain part of the body is fighting an infection nearby. For example, a sore throat may cause the lymph nodes in the neck to swell. Usually such swellings are not a cause of concern and would gradually disappear after the illness that have led to it is gone. However, if you observe the following signs, do bring your child to the doctors: - Lymph nodes that are swollen and tender for more than five days - Child is also having a fever higher that 38.3 degrees - Lymph nodes appear to be swollen throughout the body - Child is tired, lethargic or has a loss of appetite - Lymph nodes enlarged rapidly, or if the surrounding skin turned red or purple For more useful information: https://www.healthychildren.org/English/health-issues/conditions/ear-nose-throat/Pages/Swollen-Glands.aspx
