Thyroid mummies

Question

Any thyroid mummies here? Any issues throughout the pregnancy journey? Will the gynae be able to prescribe medicine so I do not have to visit polyclinic? Only a week 5 day 3 but I am so excited and booked a visit to the gynae week 5 day 6! Will I get to get the ultrasound? Thanks in advance! #1stimemom

Hello! I had my thyroid removed in 2018, was pregnant in 2019, and gave birth to my first son in January 2020. No significant problem throughout the pregnancy, but I had my thyroid hormones checked every month. I also went to see my Obgyn and endocrinologist every month to make sure everything was okay.

Ive no experience in thyroid. Yes, youll get an ultrasound but do note that you probably wont be able to see your fetus or hear its heartbeat yet as youre still too early. But again, this depends bcos some can see/hear and some cannot. So dont be alarm when you cant see/hear yet. Just listen to your gynaes advice & wait for your next appt.
