Tip for a Less Stressful Bakuna Day

Taas ang kamay sa mga nanay na nauna pang umiyak or mas takot pa kesa ke baby during bakuna time? (I feel you po). But here's a Tip for a Less Stressful Bakuna Day Be honest and calm lang po mga mommies and even daddies! Our kids are smart, so take time to explain to them in simple terms what to expect. Explain that our child may feel a little pinch and it will go away very fast. Use words like “pressure” or “poke” rather than “pain” or “shot.” Even if our baby can’t understand our words, especially if super liit pa ng mga babies natin, but our calm voice can surely reassure them and calm them too. Remain upbeat and relaxed before, during, and especially after shots. #TeamBakunaNanay #ProudToBeABakuNanay #AllAboutBakuna #HealthierPhilippines #VaccinesWorkforAll #Bakuna

Babies mostly base their reactions on adults. Kaya whether vaccine day or usual lang na natumba, I don't make a big deal out of it. He'll pick up on my anxiety and mas iiyak pa sya lalo. Kaya after ng injection, we distract him na lang with something else. Wag na magdwell and sabihan ng, "kawawa naman," etc etc kasi maiisip nila it's a bad thing.
