Here is my story of faith, hope and miracles.
to end year 2020.(long post alert)
After 5 years of ‘chilling’, me and husband was planning to do ivf this year since age is catching up.
But in November 2019, 3 days before our flight to Japan we found out that we were expecting.Alhamdulillah syukur.
-we was like eh ni yang bila eh...hahaha.
As soon as we got to know that i’m pregnant then the morning sickness kicks in.-mentel ehhh..but oh Japan, leggo!
I consult my friend that just gave birth and was recommended to make an appointment to meet Dr Lawrence Ang from Thomson Medical. Was already 6-7weeks once we are back from Japan. Not that we don’t want a female gynaecologist but (females doctor that we want was all full till mid year 2020)
I have a medical condition but Dr Ang never gave me too much of a burden that is too overwhelm or scare me and never put me through unnecessary expensive test.He will always end the ultrasound with “baby is healthy, fibroid is there growing but doesn’t disturb baby and you. Unless if the fibroid covers too much, then we have to do a surgery to remove it first before the delivery.
We basically just trusted him, continued to gain more weights-makan je kerjanya...have a full term pregnancy and successful push a healthy 3.12kg baby boy (I can vividly remember and feel the hands & legs of Naim going through my ‘tunnel’ omg)
I felt the stitching process and everytime I said ouch Dr Ang will pour this blue solution down there and continued stitching.-macam jahit baju tangannya so laju.hahaha.
I was at ease throughout my pregnancy because he saw us through and we followed whatever he says.”eat more,go for a vacation but haiyaaa this pandemic..oh you can still do staycation!” said Dr Ang.
Man of few words, talks fast! quick & breezy consultation. His phone will always beep whenever I am in for ultrasound.Super busy indeed.
He could tell what’s wrong or what’s good almost immediately during the scan.
5 months after I gave birth to my boy,
I felt uneasy and blood clots is still chunky monkey. I decided to make an appointment with Dr Ang.As usual we did the ultrasound and surprisingly the fibroid is still actively growing.Dr Ang gave his best advice-to do laparoscopic myomectomy asap before it spreads all over and have to remove my sweet little ovaries and so that we can make more babies.-hahahaha 😆
Take note that Dr Ang is a private gynaecologist and bill can cost a bomb-2 bedded lagi. But lucky me, his one of AIA panel doctors.-Alhamdulillah syukur..So AIA settled. He submitted all documents on my behalf and asked me to wait for his call.
He called me 5 days later to inform me of the date of surgery.-eh apa ni cepatnya.
This means that I cant carry my Naim for at least 3-4 weeks.
The words he said during my post op was brilliant.
‘i’m confident of my stitching techniques don’t worry.i’m so happy you are healthy now. I see you next week to remove the dressing on your belly button’(all this while pulling out my other 2 dressing on my left & right tummy) see nice right..-the stitches’
-we laughed.
with that....HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021,
May the pandemic be over quickly.
May we never forget how lucky we truly are. May Allah grant us more SABR to handle all hardships and obstacles for
‘Allah never burdens a soul beyond what it can bear’-Quran 2:286
and my wish to hopeful parents – I wish you all the love and happiness in this world and am sending you copious amounts of baby dust.
love,
