Belly binder must cover incision?

can somebody advise me if i have to wrap the belly binder and ensure it covers the csect incision or do i just wrap it around my tummy and let it not touch the wound? Its so annoying cus whenever i sit, the binder gets pushed up. Not sure if its supposed to cover the lower abdomen or just my belly? Pls advise me

Try lying down flat then binding the lower abdomen. I was taught by nurse at hospital to cover the C-section incision. I placed a sanitary pad over the wound to act as cushion before binding. By binding it this way, it does not get pushed up as much. Hope this helps :)
