Binder and compression stocking
I have signed up for post natal massage which includes belly binding, do I still have to buy a binder to bind my belly right after giving birth before i get discharge? Also, I'm going to deliver at kkh, will the doctor there recommend me compression stocking? Or would it be better if I go online and buy myself? Thanks!
I recently delivered in KKH, after delivery they did asked if I want to buy compression socks from them which is not cheap so I didn't buy from KKH as I alr purchased cheaper ones online from shopee. They also say that as long as the ones I have are categorized as compression socks, it will be okay to use them also. It is good to use a belly binder right after birth but it is also okay to start binding your belly when you start your post natal massage. As you can continue to bind your belly for months even after your delivery. The longer you bind, the more it will help to shrink your belly size
Read morePost natal massage usually includes the binder but best to ask if they include. My freelance masseuse loaned one to me during my course of massage. I delivered via natural birth at KK and wasn’t required to wear compression socks. I suggest you ask your doctor if it is required and purchasing one outside or online is cheaper than the ones at KK.
