one of the supplements that my babies did take from birth till about 4 or 5 months of age was the vitamin D supplement. it is mainly prescribed by the doc at the time of the birth to make sure that babies get enough of the D vitamin. most babies do not go out in the sunlight in the earlier months, which can lead to a deficiency of the said vitamin. http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/infant-and-toddler-health/expert-answers/vitamin-d-for-babies/faq-20058161 if you are breastfeeding, you may not have to give additional calcium supplements to your baby, but the doc will be able to give you proper guidance. here is a chart i found that gives detailed info on how much calcium a baby needs: http://www.niams.nih.gov/health_info/bone/bone_health/nutrition/

I know that mother's milk is full of the required nutrients for the baby. But if your doctor has prescribed any supplements you should do so.
