Assure them they can come to you and talk about anything...no prejudice, no gimmick...then make sure that you honor that trust and do not go into parental mode no matter what the issue is...be open minded and respect their trust...

I wouldn’t position myself to be like my child’s friend but I would always let her know that she can tell me anything.

Sharing and talking with kids becomes really easy and fun when we converse to them as their friends :)

Walk into their world.. Be and think like them when u talk to them. Its easier..

Keep on telling my kid that she can tell me anything

Just let them know you won’t judge them

This takes consistency and a lot of work

It’s a 2 way relationship all the time
