Polio or poliomyelitis is a disabling and life-threatening disease caused by the polio virus. This virus can spread from person to person which can infect our spinal cord, causing paralysis.
According to DOH, there are no cases of Polio in the Philippines. However, we need to protect our children through Polio Vaccines.
Since it is World Polio Day, let's highlight the importance of complete vaccines for our children especially during this time of pandemic.
Together with moderator Nadine Smith, let's learn from the experts, Dr. Kim Patrick Tejano (Department of Health), Dr. Fatima Gimenez (Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines), Ms. Patricia Gomez (Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines) and Mommy Kaylynn Adolfo (Team BakuNanay). Let's watch another informative FB live session - Kumpletong Bakuna, Now Na! in @theasianparent_ph FB Page on October 25 at 6pm.
Join Team BakuNanay for more information about vaccines.
