Just found this newest recipe from Maggi that gives a twist to our traditional sinigang dish: Sinigang na Hipon sa Pinya Ingredients: 1 cup picked kangkong leaves 1/2 kg large shrimps, cleaned 1 pack MAGGI® SINIGANG PINEAPPLE SURPRISE MIX 1/2 cup sitaw, 2-inch pieces 1/2 cup okra, biased 1/2 cup radish, biased 2 pcs finger chili 2 pcs tomatoes, quartered 1 pc medium onion, quartered 1 5/24 liters water Directions: 1, Combine water, onion, and tomato in a pot. Bring to a boil and simmer while covered for 30 minutes. 2. Add finger chili, radish, okra and sitaw with 2-minute intervals. 3. Pour MAGGI® Sinigang Pineapple Surprise Mix. You must try sinigang na pusit (Squid w/ Sour Soup) my mom before used to cook this for us in the province . Ingredients: 1/3 cup onions, sliced 1/2 cup tomatoes, sliced 1 stalk lemon grass 1/2 cup radish, sliced 1/2 kilo squid, ink sac removed and cut into halves 1 20 g. pack MAGGI SINIGANG SA SAMPALOK 1/2 cup sili leaves pinch of salt Instructions: 1. Boil onions, tomatoes and lemon grass in 4-1/2 cups water until limp. 2. Add radish and cook until tender. 3. Add squid and let boil once. 4. Stir in MAGGI SINIGANG SA SAMPALOK. 5. Remove from fire and add sili leaves. 6. Season to taste.

Arroz Caldo - 1/2 Kilo Manok, 1 Thumb-sized Luya, 1 Large Sibuyas, 3 Cloves Garlic, 2 Cups Bigas, 5 Cups Tubig, 2 Kutsarang Patis, Pamintang Durog, Spring Onion, Toasted Garlic, 3 Kutsarang Mantika. 1. Magisa ng Sibuyas, Luya at Bawang. 2. Sangkutsahin ang manok. 3. Lagyan ng tubig. 4. Ihalo ang bigas 5. Pakuluin. 6. Ihalo ang patis at ang paminta 7. Pag malambot na ang manok at ang kanin, ihalo na ang toasted garlic. 8. Pang hui ay ibudbod ang spring onion. Samahan ng nilagang itlog pag ihahain na. Enjoy!

Our is pretty plain and simple. We usually serve patola and misua with siomai soup. Basically, you just have to saute onion and garlic. Pour the rice soup and add in misuaa nd patola. Let it simmer then add the siomai. Simmer for another 10 minutes then add salt and pepper to taste.
