Ferrous sulfate po is best absorbed in an acidic medium so pwede sya before kumain (empty stomach). However, may mga sensitive ang tyan na sinisikmura sa ferrous so after meals sya pinapainom. Just remember not to take it po with calcium supplements or any food/drinks that contains calcium (like milk) and antacids (like Kremil-S) kasi di maa-absorb. It will be excreted from the body without effect.
