Babies usually have narrow airways filled with “bubbly” secretions. Therefore, it is likely for a baby to snore, it is simply the sound produced by the vibrating soft tissues of the airway. It should subside with time as the baby’s airway grows and as the baby learn to swallow excess saliva. Keeping your baby’s nasal passage clear and keeping your baby’s room free of dust could help reduce his/her snoring. If your baby’s snoring appears to worsen with time, you can check with your doctor. It may be helpful to record the sounds made by your baby and pass to your doctor during the checkup.
