Sanitise newborn baby toys & book

For newly bought baby toys, and subsequent use, like those rattles or teether kind of toys, is washing using soap sufficient or do i need to sterilise also ? As for those fabric baby books, can i just spray antibacterial spray (baby-safe) ? Since i dont think we can wash. And how do you usually store it ? Or just put on baby’s cot/playpen ? #FTM

Kids toys like teether and rattles just wipe with wet towel and soap. No need to sterilise. Fabric books I will handwash (if can) and air dry. All toys no need to sterilize. I will put toys in kids basket or if needed in play pen, if they like it. But minimal not much.

I just wipe or wash then clean dry for toys. I don’t wash or spray anything on books. For nb, I’ll keep in box then take out some and play with her then keep it back when done. When she starts exploring, I put in playpen.
