Is it necessary to consume additional calcium supplements beside the postnatal (breastfeeding) supplements?Afraid bb taken away too much calcium from me while breastfeed.

The calcium recommendation for breastfeeding mothers is 1000 mg/per day, which is the same as pregnant women and all women between the ages of 18 and 50. A healthy diet would suffice, but if you wanted to take an extra supplement, it's okay too. Also, apparently, it's best to get your calcium through food instead of a vitamin supplement because your body will absorb it better.
