My mom is very fond of buying tinapa and daing (smoked fish) in the market for her specialty--Pinoy breakfast. And since she's purchasing from the market, usually there are no expiration date labels for these. About how long can we keep these or is there a way to prolong their shelf-life?

I usually keep the tinapa in the freezer and it can last up to a month. The daing (if your pertaining to tuyo) can be kept in the crisper (where the veggies are placed) and it can last for more than a month. Just make sure to seal both properly in an air tight bag or container to ensure that the smell wont contaminate the other food in the ref/freezer.
