My LO developed a small swell at the corner of her eye. Wasn't there this morning but just developed over the day... It can't be an insect bite as we were carrying her the whole day.. Is it a cause for concern?

Hi mummy, The swell isn't that serious though from the picture. I suggest that you keep monitoring the progress. If the swell gets bigger, please refer to paed to check whether it could be eye infections. Several different viruses, or bacteria, may cause them. If your pediatrician feels the problem is caused by bacteria, antibiotic eye drops are the usual treatment. Hope the swollen will be reduce by its own later.
