Here’s a great link with different methods on nursing when your infant is have an illness (articles touches on cold, vomiting and diarrhea, and how to deal with a baby who refuses to nurse): http://kellymom.com/bf/can-i-breastfeed/illness-surgery/baby-illness/ A few of the methods mentioned include: - keeping your baby in an upright position (as much as possible) while nursing - nurse often (to provide baby with necessary antibodies from the breastmilk; also because baby would nurse for shorter durations because it is difficult for them to breathe while nursing) - using saline drop/breast milk with a rubber suction bulb to clear baby’s nose before nursing (detailed guide provided in the article) - using humidifier/vaporizer in a small room during nursing - adding few drops of essential oil to a pot of hot water for diffusion into the air (help relieve head congestion) Hope your baby gets well soon and take care of yourself as well!

My doc always keeps it simple. Breastfeed well. It gives the immunity to fight against the cold. Buy nasoclear drops at medical store. It is simple saline water. Just give one drop in each nostril, every one hour. It will clear the nasal congestion. I have been doing this for the past 5 yrs with my elder son every time he has cold and for my daughter who is 1 year. it definitely works.

Is ur lo 's nose blocked/stuffy? Try to clear it or else lo cant bf well n will be frustrated....dome say bm works great. Take care n gws!

use a snot sucker to remove those mucus that he is unable to expel himself. i would also on a humidifier so he is able to breathe better in aircon room

Continue the breast feeding in shorter intervals. Use an aspirator to clear his blocked/stuffed nose. Keep him slightly elevated during his sleep.

thanks
