KKH’s diabetic specialist unavailable due to DORSCON Orange

Hi mums, I’m diabetic and at week 25 of pregnancy. I am supposed to be seeing a diabetic specialist at KKH (which they get from TTS for patients that are under subsidy). But due to the DORSCON Orange situation right now, no doctors are allowed to visit other hospitals to consult. As a result, I haven’t seen a diabetic specialist for 2 months now, and I’m not sure if I need to start insulin soon or what... Anyone got suggestions on how I can see a diabetic specialist without paying private practice prices?

Super Mum

Have you spoken to your gynae about it? Am pretty sure they wont want to leave you unattended/untreated. And they should have back ups during this time

Yeah I did, but because I’m under subsidized, every time I see a different gyne, and the lady I saw yesterday said there won’t be any specialist coming till DORSCON Orange is lifted. So I asked if I can go see the specialist at TTS since they usually get them to come to KKH, but they said it’ll be private consult already.. 😓 That’s why I wanna ask if anyone else managed to see a diabetic specialist under subsidized scheme?
