Brownish jelly type discharge at week 39

Hi Mummies, Yesterday at my recent scan the gynae checked my cervix dilation and she mentioned there might be little spotting after this. There was little spotting which eventually stopped but I see brownish jelly like substance coming out of my vagina. Is this mucus plug? I am not having any cramps either. Just little bit of lower back pain. Shall I visit hospital soon ? #firsttimemom #pleasehelp

It does sound like mucus plug, if u have contraction close apart u might want to head down to the hospital. Trust your instict.

Oh good to know. Yeah looks like we are in same boat. Let me know how it goes for you and I will update as well :) My first baby so very excited and nervous on everything will go. I contacted my clinic and they told me to monitor the contractions at home until they become regular. So far no abdominal contractions but having strong back pain on and off
