6 month old hard stool

Hi mummies. Really would be helpful if any mummies can share wih me if their 6 months baby ever experience hard stool after eating solids. My baby have been having hard stool and been crying when want to poo. Poo is half way out but she's not pushing. What can i do to help baby?

Did you give a lot of solid food? At 6 months you should give only a few small spoons a day for tasting. Give some water after feeding. Prune puree or prune juice should help too

Nope, i give only a tablespoon or a few teaspoon only. Thank you, i will try and give prune puree.

my son’s first few solid poops was quite alarming. but i made him drink more water and introduced papaya. havent tried prune juice yet. but w papaya he poop easily.

Give water after every solid meal, feed high fiber food, give probiotics. If hard stool, give papaya prune etc to help
