Gestational diabetes test

I just did my test and threw up 30 mins after drinking the glucose drink 😅 It can make some mummies feel nauseated so please drink slowly (I was given 10 mins to finish the bottle). If your gynae allows you to take some sips of water or go for walks in between while waiting for your blood to be drawn, please do! I started breaking out in cold sweat and eventually vomited everything. Good luck with yours!

Fast from midnight, only allow to drink sips of water. Take 1st blood test, drink glucose drink (it’s like very sweet F&N orange for me), 1 hr later take blood test again, and another one 1 hr later. In between I’m allowed to drink sips of water. If any of the 3 test failed, Gynae will advise on diet n exercise regime.

U nd to fast frm midnight onwards, den come in they take yr blood den let u drink dis super sweet glucose drink, den one hr later they take ur blood again and another hour later after that they take ur blood again lol thats all

its ard 3 hrs i think blood test 1st drink then after 1hr blood test #2 2nd drink after another 1hr blood test #3 if any fail need to retake another day or something (can't recall) but yea, basically long day.

Test usually take half a day.. tried not to puke out the orange glucose water that U drink otherwise will have to reschedule the appt... on that day itself bb will be super active
