Gestational diabetes test

Hi mummies out there. Can I check if any of you have taken the gestational diabetes test, what to expect and how long does it usually take? TIA! #pregnancy #advicepls

I just did my test and threw up 30 mins after drinking the glucose drink 😅 It can make some mummies feel nauseated so please drink slowly (I was given 10 mins to finish the bottle). If your gynae allows you to take some sips of water or go for walks in between while waiting for your blood to be drawn, please do! I started breaking out in cold sweat and eventually vomited everything. Good luck with yours!

Mine told me that I didn’t have to retake the test too! Because he thinks I’m gonna vomit again anyway :P But I’ve got to do a randomised blood test to test for GD. I rather have my blood drawn than drink that glucose drink again!
