Trying To Conceive

Folic acid daily dosage

Hi mummies, I’m planning to conceive and saw that the recommended folic acid daily dosage for women pre pregnancy is 400mcg daily. However, I was only able to find Blackmores folic acid tablets which only comes at 500mcg per tablet. Is 500mcg too high for daily dosage or it’s fine? Thank you in advance! #advicepls #folicacid #recommendeddosage #pregnancy

It’s fine as your body will pass out the redundant folic acid. It is harmless to overdose on folic acid.
