I think your gynae might have talked to you about possibilities. If it’s ectopic, your gynae should have highlighted to you during your first scan; it can be detected before week 6. It doesn’t sound like your pregnancy is viable because at week 5, there should be a sac and at week 8 there definitely should be an embryo formed with heartbeat even if you ovulated late. Try waiting one more week for your next appointment
