Is sleep even possible at 3rd trim

Hi mummies, do you experience lack of sleep or barely even sleep 3rd trimester onwards, especially few weeks towards edd ? I really find myself either sleeping very late, waking up every hour or barely even sleep. Aside from keep needing to pee, my whole body is sooo uncomfortable esp my big heavy tummy. And whenever i sleep on my sides, the side of the body, esp the pelvic and ribs will hurt and be crampy. Its extremely frustrating to the point Sometimes i feel like i can go crazy from the lack of sleep. #FTM

I started having sleep deprivation from trimester 2 when baby got bigger and heavier, and pelvis and ribs will hurt. But I've got the luxury of wfh, and so I've learnt to take naps whenever I'm tired. So now, my sleeping times are like 4am to 9am, and then in the afternoon when I'm tired, I take hour naps, maybe 3 to 5, and sometimes I'll take naps at like 10pm etc. If you try to sleep and can't, then stand up walk a little, change your posture, go to the washroom, sit down for a while, maybe sit on yoga ball for a bit, relax your pelvis, then go back to sleep. Laying down in one position too much causes your ribs and pelvis to hurt even more and makes it harder to sleep. Maybe can also ask your hubby to help abit by giving you massages, easier to fall asleep also.

Me! I could only fall asleep when its nearly morning and wake up 2 hours later wide awake. My back and waist aches from sleeping on my sides. I find naps more comfortable. Baby also started kicking my ribs so its pretty painful. Family members thought I am having too much screen time😒

Same. Though I have like some very soft pillows/soft toys that i can put at my back and under my tummy so it doesnt hurt as much now. Maybe u can try that. And if i face my left, baby will defo kick my ribs so i will find ways to be comfortable on my right.

Yes it’s normal especially the backaches and frequent toilet trips. However, when baby is out, you will be even more lack of sleep hahaha. So nap as much as you can now throughout the day before baby is out.

Omg yes me too! It didn't feel as bad with my firstborn. Now the exhaustion frm taking care of toddler, work and household chores made me feel so tired but still can't go to slp😵‍💫

Sleep deprived starts from the third trimester 😭 As hard as it is, try to get as much rest as you can now, the real challenge is coming!
