Posterior Fontanelle

Hi mummies. Just curious. I read that babies posterior fontanelle is supposed to close/fuse together by few months of age. However my LO is already 17 months now and his posterior fontanelle doesn’t seem to have fused yet. I’m concerned but his next check-up will be in December. Before this I never thought about this or to highlight to the doctor. Any of your LO went through the same?

Hey Mummy, during last check-up, did your doctor mention it as a concern? It could mean many things. But usually it should fuse together already during the early months of LO. Do let your doctor know about it if this is something you should be worried about. Take care!
