If the scan is at 5-6 weeks, ur gynae may use transV to scan because at this stage, abdominal scan won't be able to see much or as clearer as compared to transV scan. From 7 weeks onwards, should be doing abdominal scans alr, no need transV. Btw transV isn't that scary or painful!

I didn’t do any transV nor checked for dilation thru out my entire pregnancy. Gynae only saw my V during labour 😂 As long as it’s clear enough to see via abdomen scan, I think trans V is not necessary.

Nice! I hope I’m also gonna be like that my entire pregnancy lol. Cos im quite scared in the transV. So meaning, abdomen UtZ can also detect the heartbeat?

I had my first gynae appointment during week 4, doc manage to find the sac via the scan. No transv needed

5-6wk early scan, if can’t see clearly from abdomen ultrasound, transV will do.

went to doc and doc said they usually to transV for those less than 10 weeks..
