Inverted flat nipple - cannot breastfeed bb

Hi mummies, anyone managed to still latch and breastfeed baby(not pump) when they have inverted or flat nipple? I dont need product recommendations or shopee links cause ive heard about nipple puller and nipple shield. After i gave birth, the nurses told me i have inverted and flat nipple both sides therefore i will not be able to breastfeed baby and can only pump. So just wondering if any mummies actually managed to latch baby and how do you do it ?

What nonsense did that nurse tell you 🥸. I have inverted nipple on one side and the nurse told me to start with the inverted side (for your case, any sides) for latching to make baby work for it. It will be harder but doable, just have to keep trying. Initially baby will get frustrated cause it’s harder to suckle and harder to get milk but eventually will get used to it. Overtime be it latching or pumping, your nipple will get pulled out.
