To open cervix

Hi mommiez, I'm getting to my due na po. My ob's advise will be on Monday may ilalagay daw sya sa pempem ko para magkalabor or to open my cervix. Do you think it is safe po? Till now no pain, and close cervix pa rin. Please help me. I need your advises. 1st time mommy here. God bless.
