Woodward's gripe water

Any mommies here noticed that LO instantly fell asleep after feeding gripe water? Is this normal? Does it makes LO have more phlegm since its sweet? I thought what happen when my LO suddenly fell asleep peacefully when she will normally fuss quite some time after feeding
