Any mommies and daddies will "beat" the floor when your lo fall down as a way to console them? Is this a good way of consoling lo?

Think about it; does beating something as inanimate as the floor be meaningful when the reason we fall is because we are not careful? You might send a wrong message to your child when you show them it's okay to blame others for their own carelessness/mistake. Why not try consoling LO by offering your hand and a big hug? You can also say something along the lines of "Uh-oh, you fell down? I know it hurts, but you'll be okay in awhile. Next time be careful".
