Any mommies and daddies will "beat" the floor when your lo fall down as a way to console them? Is this a good way of consoling lo?

Hi this may be a good way to distract the babies to stop them for crying. But the signal we are sending them when we beat the floor is that the floor is at fault not them. I think this is not very good education. We need to teach our kids to be responsible for their actions and to be more careful. Therefore I do not beat the floor when my baby falls down. But I may knock on a hard surface which she is crawling on to warn her about the potential danger. For example she is sleeping against the wall on one side. Sometimes she will flip around and try to stand up and hit her head on the wall. I tried to knock on the wall hard and make her aware there is something behind her. She understands and she will test out by gently knocking her head on the wall to test how it feels like.
