Hi mommies! My baby's turning 6 months next month, but she was started using walker when she was 3 months. Is it a good idea?

I think a baby's legs is still not that strong for walking and standing at 3 months, but then again, my statement differs for one baby to another. Also, walkers are detrimental to babies as they give them additional height and speed. They're an object of danger that even in some countries, it's banned to use one. However, if you really insist on using one, just keep a close eye on your baby.

Many have different opinions whether it is good to use walker or not. It is best to consult with your paediatrician if she is okay using it. If you decide to continue using walker, please make sure that your baby can hold his/her head up without slouching and has good leg strength. Also, the walker must be in safe area (not near the stairs or things that they can bump their heads).

From everything I've heard, a walker is never really a good idea. If I were to suggest anything, it would be a stationary playset where he/she locks in and plays with the set around them

it's too early for the baby to use walker. Let her try to sit or stand on her own first before you introduce a walker.
