I think there is no other way but to talk to the child. My uncle passed away din, baligtad naman kasi siya yung nasa US and kami yung nandito. Always siyang kausap ng kids ko sa Facetime. I’ve always been honest with my eldest na may cancer yung tito ko. When my uncle died, i had a heart to heart talk with my 8-yr old kid. Sinabi ko na my uncle died and he is not in pain anymore. We said a prayer for him after. It may seem a lot to take in for us, but with kids, they seem to cope well. Perhaps baka kaya hindi din nakakatulog yung pamangkin mo baka dahil he can feel na may something wrong.
