ultrasound and blood test
Hi mommies Can anyone tell me what are All the blood test and ultrasound done during pregnancy...and which week they are all done?
The standard ones for public hospitals ~8 weeks: dating scan ~12 weeks: first trimester screening (blood tests+ultrasound) ~22 weeks: foetal anomaly scan ~25-28 weeks: oral glucose tolerance test (check for gestational diabetes) > sometime around there, they’ll also ask you to go for compulsory vaccinations for pertussis (whooping cough) and influenza ~32 weeks: growth scan > sometime around there, they’ll do a GBS swab (looking for a bacteria at the cervix area). If positive, you’ll need to start antibiotics once you go to the delivery suite to prevent baby from getting infected. Additional tests may be ordered by your gynae if required
