Hi, would like to check if there is any negative effect for continuing folic acid during trimester 2. Do we stop after 12 weeks?

Currently in 2nd trimester as well. My gynae told me to stop taking the folic acid supplements as the other pre natal vitamins will contain some folic acid too.
