Insurance during pregnancy

Would like to ask if any of you bought any insurance during pregnancy? It’s for the baby or for the pregnancy and what kind should I be looking out for? And when to start purchasing?

I bought mine from AIA because coverage starts as early as 13 weeks (the only insurer that starts this early). The maternity insurance is a rider to a base plan (either a Life or investment-linked policy (ILP)). It protects both mum and baby and terminates when baby turns 3 years old. I'm not a fan of ILP hence I chose to go with a life plan so that my child can inherit the policy and may choose to terminate the plan and withdraw its surrender value in the future when need arises. Different insurer have different coverage so best to do a comparison. I for one would wanna ensure that pregnancy complications and congenital abnormalies of the child are covered. All the best finding a plan that suits you!
