We learned that DOH has officially concluded the polio outbreak response this June 2021 and as a parent I feel like this needs to be celebrated as we are now polio-free!
I remember our pedia told us to get OPV/IPV shots for Z immediately since there’s an outbreak last 2019, so we did! Even our baranggay health center went to our village clubhouse and conducted immunization campaign as well. But I think even though the outbreak ended, it’s still best to continue getting our kids vaccinated and spread the word to our fellow moms so we can protect our kids and our communities too bec. we never know! It’s better to be safe than sorry! Also, we can always ask our doctors or health providers for more information.
