Pantang - before miscarriage

Hi ladies recently I lost my baby. I have engaged someone to do my post miscarriage massage. She gave me few tips and asked if I follow and I wanna ask u ladies got do the same and your believes? I'm not very religious but I do pray and respect every religion. She asked if I kept sharp objects with me all the time which was a no. She advise to keep like a knife near window where I sleep which I didn't do also. I had bad dreams like I know I'm going to lose my baby. Any of you experience the same before miscarrying? I only can feel sad because honestly idk wht was the reason and why I lost my child but I regret for not taking more precautionary measures be it a blind believe or not rather be safe than sorry. It's like not a joke when elderly people advise sometimes can be funny bt mostly for good. Please share ladies!

I'm truly sorry for your loss. Miscarriage is absolutely painful, disappointing and makes you feel guilty of not taking good care of your pregnancy. I've lost 2. And the latter took me a year to overcome the guilt and grief. I did not have any dreams before I miscarried. But know that miscarriage happens and it was never your fault. There are many reasons why it happened. A bad chromosomes is one example. My gynae reassured me this and explained why miscarriage happens and why it is never the mum's fault at all. I'm not religious either but I do pray and I'm not superstitious too. Most of the elderly people's tips and advices are more to superstitious believes. In my religion, Islam, it is forbidden to do like the masseuse asked to do. As if we believe that those sharp objects will protect us instead of Allah. And miscarriage happens because it's all His will.

Thank you for your kind words! I respect every other religion too. I feel you! I totally feel you! I passed out the sac too and I even picked it up in the toilet bowl. A mixture of feelings. What hurt more was that it was a planned pregnancy after 8 years but it's all His will. Who am I to question Him, right? Even now that I've delivered my rainbow baby 8 mths ago, I will never ever forget what happened before that. Your rainbow baby will come to you at the right time, dear sis. For now heal your mind & body first. Do a mini confinement if possible. Then if you feel like trying again, try after 3 cycles (gynaes always recommends to try after 3 cycles). Hugs to you! I pray for those who are waiting for their baby, your time will come for sure ❤️

I’m sorry for your loss. For me personally, I feel that although sad in nature, a miscarriage proves that the fetus isn’t healthy. Do not blame yourself. Sending you baby dust✨
