Postpartum insomnia

I've been having problems falling asleep, be it in the night or after the middle of night feed for my 8 wks baby. It's driving me crazy and makes me irritable easily. Any suggestions to help with the insomnia? I'm very tempted to consume small amount of cough syrup but I'm still bf-ing.

don’t take cough syrup!!!! try essential oil and balms like lavender
