Is it true that your vagina loses it shape and elasticity during normal delivery?

Not really. The vagina has both the elasticity to expand during delivery and the capacity to recoil to close to its original structure. With time and diligent pelvic floor exercises, you (and your partner) is unlikely to notice a difference (as long as there is no major birth trauma, such as a third-degree tear to the outer vagina). Doing Kegel exercises (three times a day, five mins each time) during pregnancy and after delivery (when you feel up to it) would help facilitate the recovery process.
