Is it safe to use devices like microwave, cellphone, laptop when pregnant? Do I need to be worried about the radio frequency waves?

Yes, its safe to use microwaves, ovens, and cell phones during pregnancy. Some practitioners might suggest that if you are particularly concerned, you can leave the kitchen after you've place the food in it for cooking. Similarly, you can reduce your use of cell phones and especially sleep away from it in the night. All this is done to avoid potential exposure to something called EMF or electromagnetic fields. Some studies have proved that EMF is related to low birth weight and birth defects. That being said, more research is still required to access the danger of microwave EMF on pregnant women. So just be careful while using a microwave and step away when you can. As for your cell phones, two studies have shown a possible connection between babies who are exposed to mobile radiation and behavioural issues such as hyperactivity. So the best solution is to minimise its use, if possible. Otherwise, just follow a healthy diet and lifestyle and you shouldn't have to worry.
