My in-laws offered to pay for my confinement lady cost. I do not feel comfortable about it as I don't want to owe them anything. What would you do? Or any past experience?
Ask your hubby to nicely reject their offer and that you guys appreciate their thought but you guys can still handle on your own. Else next time if anything don’t work their way, they will keep bringing this up.
Depends on what kind of people they are, if relationship is good, Why not. But if u can afford it, then just say you already arranged your own and reject politely.
I wouldn’t accept. In laws different than your own parents :) Some in laws are genuinely nice but most tend to act up after baby comes.

Speaking from experience, dont accept. Theyll bring it up in future if smtg happens and you guys will feel like you owe them smtg
best not to owe anybody anything. I will not want to give them a reason to lord over me, so personally I will reject.
