Baby food maker

I’m wondering if parents out there bought a baby food maker and if so, how long you used it for? Or is it not necessary and can mash food by hand?

I bought a Rusch 2 in 1 baby cook which helped me a lot. Could steam and blend perfect consistency for baby and easy to clean, assemble and carry. Bought when my baby turned 6 months and still using for 11 months baby, though less frequently now.
